What we collect

Page-view analytics through Google Analytics 4. Before it loads, each page sets Google Consent Mode defaults by region: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default, so Google Analytics runs without analytics cookies and may send limited cookieless measurements; in all other regions, including the United States, they are granted by default. There is no cookie banner. We do not run an account system, and this site does not collect email addresses.

What we don’t collect

The threshold-finder tool runs entirely in your browser. The estate value you type, the state you pick, and the result we show you never leave your device — there is no server-side log of those inputs.

Cookies

Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*), set only where analytics storage is granted (by default, outside the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland). There is no consent cookie, because there is no banner. The site shows no ads and loads no advertising scripts. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.

Affiliate links

When you click a Trust & Will link from this site, Trust & Will’s affiliate network (Impact.com) records the click so we can be credited if you become a customer. Their tracking is disclosed in their own privacy policy. The price you pay does not change because of our referral.

Server logs and Cloudflare

The web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp. Logs are retained for 30 days, then deleted. We use them to detect abuse and debug errors.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which is the network gateway for our hosting. Cloudflare receives the same request metadata (IP, user agent, request path) as our origin server in the course of routing the response back to you, and may cache static responses at its edge. Cloudflare’s privacy and data-protection terms govern that processing; you can read them at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

California — no sale or sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information, as “sell” and “share” are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by CPRA). We do not sell or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only third parties that receive any usage metadata are Google Analytics (under the regional defaults in Section 2) and Cloudflare (as the network gateway, described above). California residents may submit access or deletion requests via the email below; we respond to verifiable consumer requests within 30 days.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you can request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Write to privacy@smallestatemap.us. We respond within 30 days.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided data through this site, write to the address above and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We post a dated changelog when we update this policy. Material changes — for example, adding a new third-party processor — will be flagged at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
